3–5 years of experience as an estimator, ideally in commercial construction
Strong background in large commercial structures, with a solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and costs
Skilled in using estimating software such as ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar tools
Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
A bit about tasks:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for large-scale commercial projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
Analyze project plans, specifications, and documents to determine scope and requirements
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions
Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project needs
Provide value engineering insights to optimize project budgets without compromising quality
Maintain detailed records of estimates, revisions, and supporting documentation for each project
Monitor project budgets and offer insights during preconstruction phases
